Neuhausen am Rheinfall / Switzerland - LifeWatch AG (SIX Swiss Exchange: LIFE),
the leading wireless cardiac monitoring service and home sleep test provider in
the U.S., announced today it has signed a major contract with Sleep Management
Solutions (SMS) for LifeWatch home sleep testing. SMS, a subsidiary of
CareCentrix Inc., provides diagnostic and therapeutic management services of
sleep medicine to healthcare payers and employers in the United States. SMS's
mission is to address the increasing demands in the management of Sleep
Disordered Breathing (SDB), a market which is growing at an annual rate of 20%.
The new agreement with SMS is effective May 1, 2012.
SMS provides Sleep Benefits Management services to payer clients throughout the
United States. This new agreement is expected to significantly increase
enrollments for LifeWatch home sleep testing services, and we have scaled up our
operational platform in anticipation of the increase in demand for this
monitoring area.
