May 6, 2010 - The wind farm developer PNW WIND AG (ISIN: DE000A0JBPG2) has completed the Görike wind farm in Brandenburg and handed it over to the buyer EnBW Erneuerbare Energien GmbH. Five Vestas V 90 wind turbines with a total rated power of 10 MW have been constructed in this modern wind farm.
The wind turbines are also designed for optimal efficiency. With a special hub height of 108 meters above ground and a total height of 153 meters, they are specifically designed for the wind conditions at the location. The five Vestas V90 wind turbines, each with 2 MW rated power, which are constructed in the Görike wind farm, can cover an annual electricity consumption of around 6,600 private households. The wind farm therefore makes a significant contribution to environmental protection as more than 14,000 tons of carbon dioxide and other emissions are avoided each year thanks to the environmentally-friendly method of generating electricity from wind.
Martin Billhardt, chairman of the board of management of PNE WIND AG, states: "The successful launch of this project shows the long term experience of our team in project development. Thanks to the great know-how, we were able to customise the wind turbines in Görike to the conditions at this location."
