During the first quarter of 2008 ALTA FIDES AG Group (ISIN: DE000A0B7EZ7) has considerably increased its total turnover and operating revenue by 77 % to EUR 18.3 million (Q1/2007: EUR 10.3 million.) and generated an operating result of EUR 5.9 million (Q1/2007: EUR 4.08 million). During the period under review the profit for the financial year increased to EUR 3.2 million (Q1/2007: EUR 2.95 million). These parameters have to be evaluated against the backdrop of the cyclical course of the business of ALTA FIDES AG. Because of the course of the projects the sales and revenues generated by the company are traditionally much higher during the second half of the year.
In particular the business division "CAMPUS Real Estate" has an extremely high potential for growth within ALTA FIDES AG Group. During the first quarter of 2008, three further properties have already been acquired, while, at the same time, negotiations regarding the development of renowned university towns are in an advanced stage. The first projects comprising approx. 1,850 apartments are already in the implementation stage or in development phase. For the year 2008 CAMPUS Real Estate AG expects a considerable increase of the residential units through further acquisitions.
