Board of Directors (Appointments and Changes)
Subtitle: - Central control of UK business activities from Swindon
- Successful manager from the Company
Swindon/UK, Hannover/Germany, 21/02/2012. (euro adhoc) - Peter Aylward was
appointed by the Hoeft & Wessel Group as Managing Director of the Metric
subsidiary, headquartered in Swindon (United Kingdom). Accordingly, he will be
responsible for the business activities of one of the world´s leading producers
of car park terminals, reporting directly to the Board of Management.
In Peter Aylward, an experienced manager from the ranks of the Company is now
at the helm. Since mid-2009, this 49-year-old IT specialist has succeeded in
further developing the business activities for ticketing systems in Great
Britain as General Manager of Almex UK. Under his stewardship, it was possible
to penetrate the market for stationary ticketing systems and, ultimately, the
market for state-of-the-art ticketing package solutions. As part of a large-
scale order placed, for several months now Hoeft & Wessel has equipped the bus
fleet of the FirstGroup, the largest private bus operator in the United
Kingdom, with an NFC (Near Field Communication) enabled e-Ticketing system.
Aylward was born in Great Britain and lives near Swindon. In his career lasting
over 30 years, he has acquired extensive experience in management of IT
companies in the United Kingdom and Germany. For instance, he was Managing
Director of RedDot, a leading provider of enterprise content management
software.
In addition to the parking division, Peter Aylward also remains responsible for
all business activities for Almex ticketing systems in Great Britain. This will
help to lay the foundations for further extension of the business with car park
terminals, ticketing systems and mobile terminals in a central region for Hoeft
& Wessel.
The new CEO, Michael Hoeft, is delighted with this new management solution,
saying: "In Peter Aylward, we now have an experienced manager in Swindon, who
is in control of all business activities of the Hoeft & Wessel Group on site in
the UK. This generates many and various synergy effects. Just one example is
the use of our nationwide service network in Great Britain both for car park
terminals and ticketing systems."
