Koblenz: Today, CompuGroup has entered into an agreement for the purchase of HealthPort´s Solutions Division, HealthPort LLC. The Company HealthPort LLC, based in Columbia, South Carolina, is a provider of practice management software, electronic health records and revenue cycle management services (EDI/RCM) to approximately 3.600 doctors in physician practices, community health centers and hospitals in the USA. Total sales in 2009 were about $28.0 million and EBITDA was about $ 1.9 million. For 2010 the company expects revenues of about $ 28.0 million with an EBITDA of about $ 2.9 million.
The payment for the debt free company will be $18 million in cash. The purchase price will be financed through cash at hand. HealthPort LLC will be held by CompuGROUP Holding USA, Inc., a wholly-owned entity of CompuGroup Medical AG. The closing of the transaction is scheduled for January 4th 2011
