Koblenz (euro adhoc) - June 13, 2012: After a drop in demand in 2009 as a result
of the financial crisis and tepid growth in 2010, the German standard software
market showed strong growth in 2011. CompuGroup Medical is continuing their
growth and has recorded stellar progress in 2011 as well as in previous years.
The company is listed as the 5th largest German software provider in the
Lünendonk-Ranking.
Based on research conducted by the industry association Bitkom, the 2011 market
volume for standard application software, system software and tools increased by
5.1% to 16.3 billion euros in Germany. The top 25 companies increased their
domestic sales by 6.5% on average. CGM's growth is above-average for the
industry with a sales growth of 21% in Germany and 27% for the entire
corporation to a total of 397 million euros in 2011. Within just one year the
company has moved up two spaces from 7th to 5th place.
This clearly shows that CGM is steadily narrowing the gap with the industry
giants, only Microsoft, SAP, Oracle and Datev achieved higher sales in Germany.
In addition, CGM is the only eHealth provider among the top 10. A particularly
noteworthy aspect is the range of coverage for ambulatory information systems -
one out of every two physicians in Germany trusts the company's systems.
"This outstanding result confirms that we are taking the right steps. Our
innovative products support healthcare providers and foster better healthcare.
There is a reason that we reach more doctors with our intelligent software than
any of our competitors," was how Frank Gotthardt, CEO, commented on the top
ranking.
The unique range of coverage is an important building block for sustained market
leadership and steady success. CompuGroup Medical expects record sales between
440 and 460 million euros for 2012. Ranking again among the top companies on
the Lünendonk list is anticipated.
