The companies will collaborate in the further development of the innovative aviation data platform developed by masFlight, which brings an unprecedented level of analysis to operational performance data. masFlight's aviation data platform, which will harness OAG's global schedule and flight status data, enables airlines and airports to understand their own and competitors' operational performance in minute detail and thereby achieve valuable efficiency gains.
Insights permitted through masFlight's platform include isolating the root causes of operational issues; benchmarking the performance of competitors and alliance partners; analysing performance by marketing and operating carrier; conducting 'deep-dive' analyses of airport gates, taxi times and runway usage; and examining diversions, cancellations, and delays.
John Grant, executive vice president of OAG, says: "By uniting masFlight's powerful analysis platform with OAG's globally trusted data we can offer airlines and airports an entirely new level of insight into operational performance. In today's challenging climate, even minor operational refinements can create significant financial gains, so we are very excited to add masFlight to the suite of analytical solutions we offer OAG's customers."
Josh Marks, CEO of masFlight, says: "The best analysis is only possible with the best data, so we are delighted to join forces with OAG. We share OAG's passion for accuracy and real-time global capability. Together we provide the aviation industry with critical tools to assess performance, manage disruption and improve efficiency."
