GfK prepares for a change of management
Nuremberg, February 23, 2011 - Professor Klaus L. Wübbenhorst, who has held the post of CEO of GfK SE for many years, has today advised the Supervisory Board that for personal reasons, he will not be extending his current service contract, which expires in July 2012.
Last year, GfK recorded its best ever results and so according to Professor Dr. Wübbenhorst, who has been a member of the Management Board for the past 20 years and who celebrates his 55th birthday today, now is a good time for GfK to plan for a change of management in the medium term and for him, it is a welcome opportunity to seek new challenges.
Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Dr. Arno Mahlert, very much regrets the decision and expressed his thanks to Professor Dr. Wübbenhorst for the outstanding successes he has achieved.
