Air Berlin publishes preliminary result for 2010

London, 26 January 2011 - Following the preliminary analysis of the financial results of the companies of the Air Berlin Group, Air Berlin PLC expects that the Air Berlin Group´s (including the business of NIKI Luftfahrt GmbH for the last six months of the year) EBIT in 2010 will amount to a negative single digit million figure. The deviation from planning is due to exceptional circumstances in the months of November and December, in particular, the harsh weather conditions in Europe, an air controller strike in Spain and the announcement of strikes against Air Berlin PLC & Co. Luftverkehrs KG. The final analysis and confirmation of the financial results remains pending.
On 24 March 2011 starting at 8:00 a.m. (CET), Air Berlin will publish the final financial results for 2010, detailed information thereon as well as the complete annual report as at 31 December 2010 on the Internet at ir.airberlin.com.
