As of 1 February 2025, Mitja Schulz will assume the role of CEO of the Debrunner Koenig Group, a subsidiary of Klöckner & Co SE. He succeeds Thomas Liner, who stepped down at the end of 2024. To ensure a smooth transition, CFO Heinz Rohrer temporarily took on the position in January 2025 and will help guide Mitja Schulz during his first weeks.

Guido Kerkhoff, Chairman of the Board at Klöckner & Co SE, commented: "Mitja Schulz brings a wealth of leadership experience from various roles in the industrial sector. I am looking forward to working with Mitja Schulz and am confident that, alongside our talented team on the ground, he will continue to tailor our Swiss market offerings to meet customer needs. I'd also like to extend my heartfelt thanks to Heinz Rohrer, whose contributions over the years have been instrumental in shaping the development of the Debrunner Koenig Group and who is ensuring a seamless handover of leadership."

Mitja Schulz joins with extensive experience as CEO of several European industrial companies. Most recently, he served as President and CEO of the Swiss industrial group Gurit, where he successfully led the company's growth, including overseeing its international subsidiaries. Prior to that, Mitja Schulz spent over eleven years in key leadership roles at the ZF Group, including serving as Senior Vice President and CEO of the global business unit "ZF Wind Power" in Belgium.

In addition to the new CEO, Mitja Schulz, the Swiss leadership team will be further strengthened by Oliver Bertignol, who will join as the new CFO on 1 March 2025, as Heinz Rohrer is set to retire on 31 July 2025. Oliver Bertignol brings significant financial expertise and managerial experience, having held senior roles, including at Trumpf Schweiz AG.
