Yamaha R3 bLU cRU Cup | Switzerland: Exciting races delivered by the young riders at the AUTOFIT Round in Dijon

From 24th to 26th May 2019, the second of six racing events of the R3 bLU cRU Cup | Switzerland took place at the Circuit de Dijon-Prenois. The riders of the Yamaha Switzerland Junior Program were not only supported by the R3 bLU cRU Cup | Switzerland team but as well by YART, Pirelli and Valentinos at the AUTOFIT Round in Dijon. Marcel Brenner and Robin Mulhauser, who took part in the races as wildcards, gave the young drivers useful tips and were available as mentors.
After the first training sessions on the demanding race track in Dijon, the starting grid for the two races on Saturday and Sunday was defined by a qualifying session on Friday.
The field of riders was supplemented by the following wildcards: Endurance World Championship and former Moto2 rider Robin Mulhauser, Moto2 European Championship rider Marcel Brenner as well as the Swiss junior riders Roy and Lee Doti who start in the Italian SS300 Championship.
In two highly competitive races with frequent changes of position and fair duels, the young rider talents showed what they are capable of and how they develop in the shortest possible time. After his triumph in Valencia Frenchman Tom Berçot (14) again won the first race in Dijon. In the second race the German-Brazilian Alan Kroh (15) of Team RR Randy Racing prevailed. With 95 points Tom Berçot continues to lead the overall cup standing ahead of Team RR Randy Racing with Alan Kroh and Team Badan Motos represented by the Swiss Stéphane Frossard (24).

The teams and riders are currently preparing for the next racing round which will take place from 28th to 30th June 2019 on the famous Slovakia Ring.
