Renaud Paubelle will become EuroAirport’s new Deputy Managing Director
Renaud Paubelle has been appointed by the Board of Directors as the new Deputy Managing Director of Basel-Mulhouse Airport. He will take up his function on July 1, 2025, succeeding Marc Steuer. Following the appointment of Tobias Markert, who will take up his position as Director on April 1, 2025, the new binational team of Directors is complete.
Renaud Paubelle has around twenty years of experience in management roles in the field of spatial planning and the management of extensive construction and infrastructure projects, in particular for seaports and airports. Since 2020, he is CEO of Strasbourg Airport.
Between 2013 to 2020, he worked as Director of Spatial Planning and member of the Management Board, first at the Grand Port Maritime de la Guadeloupe and then at the Grand Port Maritime de Marseille. There, he was in charge of planning the development of port, maritime and land infrastructure as well as managing the implementation of most strategic investment projects.
As CEO of Strasbourg Airport, Renaud Paubelle reinstated the airport's activities after the Covid-19-related crisis by restructuring the workforce and proposing a diversification of revenue sources, especially by enhancing the value of real estate. Furthermore, he developed a strategy to overcome the crisis and manage the ecological transformation.
Renaud Paubelle takes over from Marc Steuer, who worked as part of the Airport’s two-member team of Directors since 2022, with a particular focus on reducing the Airport’s environmental impact in collaboration with relevant stakeholders. In addition, he participated in designing and launching important investment projects. The Board of Directors would like to take this opportunity to thank Marc Steuer for his commitment to EuroAirport.
