Essen/Germany, November 13, 2008. The Arcandor AG Supervisory Board in its extraordinary meeting today elected Friedrich Carl Janssen, a personally liable partner in the bank Sal. Oppenheim jr. & Cie., new chairman. Friedrich Carl Janssen succeeds Hero Brahms, who left the board on October 31, 2008.
