London (ots/PRNewswire)

NTT Communications in Europe has been presented with the Judges Award for its expansion, contribution and innovation to Central and Eastern Europe at Capacity Magazine's eighth awards ceremony, held on 13th November in Amsterdam.

Alex Hawkes, Editor at Capacity Magazine [http://www.capacitymagazine.com] said, "This award pays tribute to the significant investment and contribution that NTT Europe has made to Central and Eastern Europe in the last year. The judges recognized that it has successfully brought the parent company's huge reputation for quality and innovation to the region. I would like to congratulate NTT Europe for winning the Capacity Judges Award."

Speaking at the awards dinner, Clive Hamilton, Head of Global IP Networks at NTT Europe said, "It's a great achievement to be endorsed by Capacity for our work over the last 12 months. This last year has been important for us in extending capacity and reach into the CEE IP Transit market. We're now in the Balkans with PoPs in Hungary, Romania and Bulgaria, and we've added more connectivity in Brussels, Milan and Munich." On working with local providers, Hamilton continued, "In a market as dynamic and fast-growing as CEE, it's been our aim to support established local operators by adding to the competition and giving more choice to consumers in this region."

NTT Europe is dedicated to improving the quality of services and direct connectivity throughout Europe, Americas and Asia. This strategy of building POPs to get closer to its customers will only continue, as will working with existing market leaders in areas where its customers need to be.
