In the second half of 2011, a series of crystal-growing systems will be supplied to a Russian company that ranks as a leading producer of germanium. Our systems are designed for high-tech applications in the optoelectronic industry as well as in the production of the raw materials for concentrator cells in photovoltaics. Germanium-based concentrator cells can achieve efficiency levels in excess of 30%. These high-performance PV cells are primarily used in satellite technology.
