AMD erwartet moderate Umsatzsteigerung im laufenden Jahr

Auf einer Pressekonferenz in Tokio hat Hector Ruiz, AMD President und Chief Operating Officer, bestätigt, dass das Unternehmen nach wie vor von einer moderaten Umsatzsteigerung in 2001 ausgeht. Ruiz sagte ferner, dass AMD eine weitere Erhöhung seiner Marktanteile in den beiden wichtigsten Produktbereichen, den PC Prozessoren und den Flash Memory Bausteinen, erwarte. Laut Ruiz gebe es zudem gute Gründe, von einer Stabilisierung des PC Marktes auszugehen. Eine Normalisierung sei für das vierte Quartal wahrscheinlich.
