State Visit of President Putin to Belgium and the European Union: Investing in Russia Conference

An international conference "Invest in Russia" takes place in Brussels October 2, at the Sheraton Tower, Place Rogier, as part of the program for Russian President Vladimir Putin's visit. The conference organizers are Interfax and the European Business Club in conjunction with Vneshtorgbank and the Foreign Investment Advisory Council and Ernst & Young.
The conference will be devoted to improving the investment climate in Russia. Deputy Prime Minister Viktor Khristenko, Minister of Economic Development and Trade of RF German Gref, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Central Federal District Investment Agency Dmitry Yermakov, President-Chairman of the Board of Vneshtorgbank Yuri Ponomarev, and representatives of Russian and foreign companies, and of financial and legal organizations from the European Union will attend.
Aleksander Medvedev, General Director of the Russia State Space Programme Centre, will make a presentation on current and future projects in development of Russian space programmes for the 21ste century.
During the "Investing in Russia" Conference, they will also present some of their products (plains, rockets and mini space stations) at the exhibition in the registration area.
One of the opening speakers is the Rt. Hon. Chris Patten, EU Commissioner on External Affairs.
This will be the second such event to be held in connection with state visits by Vladimir Putin to the EU. The first took place in Berlin on September 25.
The conference venue is the Sheraton Tower, Place Rogier.
Registration for delegates starts at 8.00 a.m.
After the conference, a free lunch for delegates and journalists will be held.
