Eindhoven, May 04, 2004 - Catalis N.V. has generated revenues of euro 1.5 million in the first quarter of the fiscal year 2005 (Q1 2004: euro 1.0 million). The operating profit more than doubled to euro 360,000 (previous year: euro 161,000) while net income was euro 362,000 (previous year: euro 219,000). The positive developments are a result of a number of long term contracts Catalis had entered into recently with major clients. Significant growth came from our USA activities; however, the UK also showed attractive growth.
Our cash position increased up to 1.4 million from euro 1.1 million as at December 31, 2004.
The Supervisory Board has approved the annual report on April 29, 2005. As previously announced, sales amounted to euro 5.2 million in 2004 compared to euro 4.4 million in 2003. The operating profit increased from 1.0 million in 2003 to euro 1.4 million in 2004. Net profits increased significantly to euro 2.3 million (previous year euro 0.8 million); respectively earnings per share increased from EUR 0.08 per share in 2003 to EUR 0.15 per share in 2004.
