Los Angeles, Mai 24th 2004 - MatchNet plc, a leading provider of online personals, today announced that certain funds managed by The Capital Group Companies, Inc., a Los Angeles-based equity management firm with approximately USD 500 billion under management, have purchased 1.175.000 shares of MatchNet. Based on MatchNets 22.372.692 shares outstanding, Capital Groups share position represents a 5,25 percent stake in the company.
MatchNet in SDAX Separately, MatchNet said that on June 21 the company will become a component of the Deutsche Börses SDAX small cap index.
Results 2003 und Q1/2004 MatchNet will report its results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2004 and the fiscal year, ended December 31st, 2003 on Thursday, May 27, 2004.
