Cologne, 15 March 2005 - The Board of Directors and the Supervisory Board of antwerpes ag, Cologne, (ISIN DE000547100//Symbol 547100) have today decided to propose to the Ordinary General Meeting on 15 June 2005 that the name of antwerpes ag be changed to DocCheck AG. The Division DocCheck has increased its share in the Group turnover within the antwerpes Group from 16 per cent or 1.6 million euro in 2000 to 43 per cent or 4.5 million euro in 2004. The Board of Directors expects therefore that the growth impulses for the total Group will come from the DocCheck division over the next few years. Through this change of name, the popularity and the value of the trademark DocCheck will be heightened and the attention of the capital market will be directed towards the healthcare focus and portal activities of the Group. DocCheck is an adopted trademark and is internationally protected. For this reason, the costs of the name change are not expected to exceed 100,000 euro.
Explanatory data: Within the antwerpes Group, the DocCheck division represents the activities of the Group companies DocCheck Medical Services GmbH, DocCheck Medizinbedarf & Logistik GmbH, medicalpicture GmbH, editworks Gesellschaft für digitale Medien mbH and medizinstudent.de GmbH.
