Company Information/Certification
Möglingen (euro adhoc) - For more than ten years, the internationally recognized
and well-integrated Valuemation product line from USU AG has impressed the
market with its preconfigured best practices based on the ITIL® standard. This
confidence has been demonstrated once again by the successful certification of
the latest version, Valuemation 4.2, by both the APM Group Ltd. and Glenfis AG,
the licensed assessor and partner of the APM Group (APMG) for Europe.
The experts at Glenfis AG conducted a thorough, detailed product review of the
Valuemation software suite. During this examination, Valuemation was checked for
compliance with the basic requirements of the British Office of Government
Commerce (OGC) as well as the APMG function chart. Its ability to meet
additional implementation and practical-usage requirements was also
investigated. These comprehensive reviews confirmed the following: Valuemation
fully meets the strict international accreditation standards established by the
APM Group.
"This certification gives our existing and potential customers additional
security and extra peace of mind since they know that the conformance of
Valuemation´s core service management processes with ITIL® standards and its
support for them have been confirmed by independent experts," said Sven Wilms,
Executive Vice President at USU AG.
The ITIL® certification was issued for a total of ten core IT service management
processes: incident management, problem management, change management, release
management, service asset and configuration management, finance management,
service catalogue management, service portfolio management, request fulfillment
and knowledge management. In this context, the knowledge-management discipline
is covered by the product USU KnowledgeCenter 5.4.
In 2009, Valuemation 3.6 - in conjunction with USU KnowledgeCenter 4.8 and ZIS
System 5.3 - was already attested to have the highest level of ITIL® compliance
as per ITIL® v2 und ITIL® v3 by the team of ITIL® experts at Pink Elephant, the
highly regarded American provider of ITIL® consulting and certification
services.
The APM Group Ltd is a leading accreditation, certification and examination body
with worldwide recognition. As part of its strategic partnership with the
British Office of Government Commerce (OGC) the APM Group also issues licenses
granting the use of OGC trademarks, which include the one for ITIL®. The IT
Infrastructure Library (ITIL®) is a collection of best practices that describe
the most effective approaches to IT service management and represents the de
facto international standard in this area.
