SinnerSchrader has invested in activeGATE GmbH for an initial participation of 20 per cent and an option to acquire the majority in December 2008.
activeGATE was founded by Mario Neurath (46) and is an innovative technology provider in the fast-growing segment for Internet-based real-time dialogue solutions. Through the activeGATE technology, interactive consumers can directly contact employees of a company via chat or voice-over-IP (VoIP) in order for example to ask questions concerning product offerings or be taken through an ordering or booking process in real time.
"The more money that is invested in online media, the more important it becomes to convert visitors to a website into customers," emphasises Mario Neurath, founder of activeGATE. Matthias Schrader, CEO of SinnerSchrader, points out the first success stories: "We have already introduced the solution for some of our customers and have been able to increase their order rate by over 40 per cent in some cases."
