Some of the local residents around Rosenbauer's headquarters in Leonding near
Linz have already sighted it! A PANTHER with a special coat! The latter consists
of a film covered in psychedelic squiggles, which deceive the human eye by
making horizontal and vertical lines virtually impossible to distinguish. Big
cats in the wild are similarly well camouflaged and in the case of the brand-new
PANTHER, as is usual with other automotive industry prototypes, this patterning
is intended to hide its actual appearance. However, it should be noted that this
is the first time that a prototype fire truck has been so disguised.
All will be revealed at the Interschutz
The appearance of the new vehicle is so well concealed that its final form can
only be surmised. However, what can be said is that its front section has been
completely remodeled and the cabin now offers an even better view of events. In
addition, the appearance of the 2015 PANTHER will be influenced strongly by an
innovative lighting system design and it will also possess plenty of bite thanks
to leading-edge extinguishing technology consisting of two new high-performance
pumps, the latest FIXMIX 2.0 proportioning system, and two ultramodern monitors.
Last, but not least, the ergonomics and ease of operation of the vehicle will
also set new benchmarks.
Notwithstanding these appetizers, further details of the new PANTHER must remain
under wraps until the summer and the Interschutz trade fair, which will take
place in Hanover from 8 to 13 June. All will then be revealed, as on this
occasion Rosenbauer is to unveil its new flagship in both a 4x4 and a 6x6
version.
