Coblenz - 15 May 2008: With its first-quarter results, 2008 has started well for Com-puGROUP. Compared with first quarter 2007, group revenues rose 13.9%, to EUR 47.5 million. Reported Group profits rose to EUR 5.0 million in the first quarter of 2008, up EUR 2.1 million (or 74.6%) from first quarter 2007. In addition, in February the Madrid Physicians Association (ICOMEM) awarded a con-tract to the Group's Spanish holding company Medigest Consultores S.L. for the elec-tronic networking of more than 15,000 doctors. Allgemeine Krankenhaus Wien (AKH), one of Austria's largest clinics, hired Com-puGROUP subsidiary systema Human Information Systems GmbH in March to imple-ment an on-duty shift scheduling system for its 7,000 employees. The software package that was implemented is designed to provide massive improvements in efficiency in the management of employee shifts.
In March, CompuGROUP subsidiary GTI AG and the Technicians Health Insurance Fund successfully won recognition in the Financial Times Deutschland's "Health Care Industry Idea Park" competition. CompuGROUP's DocPortal, a knowledge platform selected by an independent jury from among 63 entries, is thus one of the leading innovations on the target market.
