9-month report
06.11.2008
The Deutsche Effecten- und Wechsel-Beteiligungsgesellschaft AG (DEWB), Jena, has published its interim report on the first nine months of 2008. The Net Asset Value (NAV) of DEWB fell to 39.4 million Euros as at 30 September 2008.
In the third quarter of the current business year, the clear worsening of conditions on the capital markets led to a general decline in enterprise values on the stock markets. In particular, on account of the strong fall in company values in the peer group of the portfolio company KSW Microtec AG, the reassessment of 6.2 million Euros made as of 31 December 2007 was retracted. This downgrade affects the revaluation reserve in the equity and does not have an impact on the profit an loss statement. According to the appraisal by DEWB, based on current conditions in capital markets, no further fundamental changes in valuation for the investment portfolio of the company will arise beyond the revaluation carried out at the end of the quarter.
The NAV of DEWB, at 2.59 Euros per share as at 30 September 2008, still lies clearly above the current share price.
