Dr Christof Maria Fritzen holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree, which he obtained in 1974 at Columbia University, New York. He gathered extensive legal experience abroad through posts in New York, Rio de Janeiro and Brussels with international law firm Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen & Hamilton and has subsequently held various posts in the commercial and investment banking sectors. Most recently, he headed the general secretariat at Deutsche Bank from 2002 to 2008. There, his responsibilities included the Annual General Meeting and matters concerning the Supervisory Board, Management Board and further committees at the bank.
