Switzerland's first independent fund platform for asset managers

As Switzerland's first independent fund platform, Swiss Fund Platform Ltd. (www.swissfundplatform.ch ) offers asset managers unique access to numerous fund providers and takes over the collection as well as the entire administration of trailer fees on their behalf.
On the one hand, Swiss Fund Platform Ltd. manages contracts with fund providers and collects trailer fees, thereby substantially reducing asset managers' administrative expenses. On the other hand, Swiss Fund Platform Ltd. creates the transparency asset managers need when dealing with their clients. «Asset managers have constant access to the terms and conditions negotiated with fund providers while detailed reporting provides them with a suitable tool to create transparency via-à-vis their clients and keep conflicts of interest at a minimum», says Michael Däppen, Managing Director of Swiss Fund Platform Ltd.
At present, asset managers can choose from over 1,000 funds offered by a total of 18 fund providers. Among others, they include large providers such as Man Investments AG, Bank Vontobel AG, Lombard Odier, Skandia and Banque Cantonale Vaudoise BCV as well as smaller providers such as Anaxis S.A. and Plenum Investments AG (see www.swissfundplatform.ch ). «Still in the setup phase, our platform is expanding step by step. Contracts with renowned fund providers are close to conclusion. The more asset managers are involved, the more fund providers it will attract, and vice versa.
