On 22 and 23 May 2013 the mobility academy will hold the first world collaborative mobility congress "wocomoco". This international event aims at bringing together established mobility-service providers, IT-Developers, as well as private and professional traffic-consumers to inspire discussions on collaborative mobility. Next to thematic lectures, there will also be an exhibition and the presentation of mobility-concepts that are based on shared resources.

The rise of lifestyles based on collaborative consumption has already reached the mobility sector. An increasing number of persons fall back on networks to organize their mobility nowadays. Also in the transportation sector, the concept of ownership is slowly giving way to the concept of sharing. With the world collaborative mobility congress "wocomoco" and the website www.comobility.ch , the mobility academy wants to react to and offer a proper platform for this movement. Ultimately, the mobility academy wants to become market leader in the field of innovative and sustainable mobility-networks.

The mobility academy

The mobility academy is based in Bern, Switzerland, and was founded in January 2008 by the Touring Club Switzerland (TCS) as an international transport policy think-tank and a clearing-house for science-based mobility solutions. Its mission is to provide a platform for transport stakeholders from across Europe by offering policy-related seminars on key transportation issues and by initiaing, funding and carrying out research aimed at mitigating the main risks currently associated with transport and mobility. In order to fulfill its mission the mobility academy cooperates closely with leadig individual experts as well as public and private organisations in Switzerland. In 2009 the mobility academy has initiated and launched the national "Swiss Forum for Electric Mobility" with the support of the Swiss Federal Roads Office.
