Second quarter result in the blacks (E)

With total revenues of Euro 17.3 mill. in current period's second quarter (prior year's 2nd quarter: Euro 21.1 mill.) our company achieved an operating result of TEUR 156 (1st quarter 2002: TEUR - 25). Regarding the first six months of current year this means a decline of total revenues by 3.5%. Nevertheless, the sales value from January to June 2002 equals already 54% of total 2001 revenues which distinctly reflects the downward price-movements of petrochemical products that started with 3rd quarter last year.
As far as markets relevant to us are concerned, we expect the remaining months of this year to be characterised by stable demand with slightly increasing prices. The production capacities should be better utilized in average during the whole year than during the first six months. Thus, we forecast a balanced result for our company group in total 2002.
